AlexanderDebrecht, Senior at Juniata College, Graduated May 16

Three hundred and seventy-two seniors were awarded Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees on Saturday, May 17, during ceremonies marking Juniata College's 137th Commencement.

Among the graduates is the following local student:

Alexander Charles Debrecht of Winston Salem, son of Douglas and Deanna Debrecht, received a B.S. degree in physics with secondary emphases in mathematics and philosophy. While at Juniata, he was named to the dean's list for four years, was vice president of the Society of Physics Students, and received a fellowship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Debrecht is a 2011 graduate of Pomperaug High School.
