Jacob Oster, Senior at Juniata College, Graduated May 17

Three hundred and seventy-two seniors were awarded Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees on Saturday, May 17, during ceremonies marking Juniata College's 136th Commencement.

Among the graduates is the following local student:

Jacob Matthew Oster of Lusby, son of Elizabeth A. Oster and Matthew E. Oster, received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. While at Juniata, he conducted research with biologist Christopher Grant, studied abroad in Ecuador in 2013 and served as build coordinator for Habitat for Humanity. Oster is a 2011 graduate of Patuxent High School.
