Lauren Bauernschmidt, Senior at Juniata College, Graduated May 17

Three hundred and seventy-two seniors were awarded Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees on Saturday, May 17, during ceremonies marking Juniata College's 136th Commencement.

Among the graduates is the following local student:

Lauren Nicole Bauernschmidt of Oxford, daughter of Alan Bauernschmidt and Tracey L. Bauernschmidt, received a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science with a secondary emphasis in politics. While at Juniata, she studied abroad in India and Thailand, interned at NRG Energy and worked as a campus tour guide. Bauernschmidt is a 2010 graduate of Oxford Area High School.
